MSU-IIT NMPC Awards Cash Donation to GPTA of South-1 Central School

The General Parents-Teachers Association (GPTA) of South 1-A Central School (formerly the Camague Community School) requested for assistance from our cooperative in order for them to complete the construction of the covered walkway of the school. The GPTA is allocating some funds to supplement the project’s budget. However, majority of the members of the PTA come from poor and disadvantaged families, thus raising funds from the parents is quite difficult.

With this, the coop’s Board of Directors through the Community Social Responsibility (CSR) committee’s recommendation approved the appropriation of materials in the amount of Ten Thousand Pesos (Php 10,000.00) as assistance to the school for its covered walkway. The School Governing Council and school PTA are sincerely grateful to our coop for donating a considerable amount of 10,000.00. They requested our coop to award such amount to their school on June 27, 2014 at 9 o’clock in the morning.

The awarding ceremony started with a prayer.  Engr. Dizon Ducay, the SGC Chairman/Division Federated PTA President, gave his welcome remarks. The cash donation was awarded by Ms. Loradel B. Pabillar, the OIC of the CEO and was accepted by Ms. Jasmin M. Tampos, the school principal. Engr. Romeo Manzano, PMD Manager and Ms. Rizalee T. Mesias, the Marketing Officer were also there to represent the coop.

It was indeed a formal ceremony that documented the benevolence of MSU-IIT NMPC. With the generous amount we donated, it would surely help provide comfortable walkway to their pupils, teachers and stakeholders.
