A Decade Strong: Pala-o Branch and Buruun Branch Celebrate Its Anniversaries

MSU-IIT COOP: Buru-un Pala-o Anniversary

Two Branch Anniversaries in One Day

Pala-o Branch and Buruun Branch celebrated its 11th and 9th year last February 18, 2014 respectively. In an amalgamated event, the two branches fused its program of thanksgiving and merrymaking in MSU-IIT NMPC Head Office. The program proper started later in the afternoon with a thanksgiving mass as a head-start to the celebration. Our very own CEO Engr. Deal Noel D. Benegrado officially welcomed the guests and staffs while BOD Vice Chairman Mr. Michael Alain J. Mamauag brightens the crowd with his words of inspiration.

Pala-o Branch Manager Nestor D. Lacastesantos and Buruun Branch Manager Phillip Gary C. Mondragon discussed about the branch highlights during its preceding year of operations. On the other hand, what cemented MSU-IIT NMPC’s years of success is through its members who are its supreme source of testimony. Few valued members of the two branches spoke of their experiences together with MSU-IIT Coop and shared their road to success alongside the cooperative. A few laughs shared and the tradition of shared foods came along the way of the program. Ultimately, Dir. Eufemio L. Calio, Ph.D. closed the program in a tone of hope and joy.

Exciting Activities to Celebrate the Anniversaries

Aside from the formalities of celebrating its anniversaries, both Pala-o Branch and Buruun Branch loosen up a bit. Alongside its celebration, the branches have its “pakulo” launched to its members for a one-day validity period. The Marketing Department joined in with its COSA REAL (Cooperative Savings for Real Estate Acquisition) Promotions Special on the two branch celebrants. Members were encouraged to open a COSA REAL Savings and in return be granted a coop umbrella freebie during the day. For Pala-o Branch, any member who transacts during the day will have a chance to win coop freebies in the draw lot special. On the other hand, Buruun Branch is aggressive in its membership campaign as their “pakulo” involves draw lots to be participated by members recruited during the day.

The combined efforts of Pala-o Branch, Buruun Branch and Marketing Department made a fruitful outcome of producing more members who participated in the generation of savings in the coop and more non-members to be bitten by the cooperative bug and become an addition to the MSU-IIT NMPC family.

To Pala-o Branch and Buruun Branch, kudos for a job well done!
