MSU-IIT NMPC Tubod LDN, Maranding and Bacolod LDN Branches Joined Lanao del Norte in Celebrating its Mohammad Khalid Dimaporo Serbisyo Sigurado
The province of Lanao del Norte celebrated its 55th founding anniversary in a week long celebration filled with annual festivities showcasing the province’s beauty and bounty. From Tubod’s scenic Agri-Aqua, Livestock and One-Town-One-Product (OTOP) Fair at Agora to its series of sports competition, cultural showcase and government-headed activities aimed at bringing together the 22 municipalities of the province.
TUBOD, Lanao del Norte, July 3, 2014 – Highlighting the day’s activity is the MKD (Mohammad Khalid Dimaporo) Serbisyo Sigurado famously known to the locals as People’s Day. The Lanaos favoured People’s Day as the day in which they are provided free services from different government and non-government bodies. Different bodies provide special recruitment activity, medical/dental services, national agency services provided by DFA, Philhealth, NBI, NSO, GSIS, Pag-ibig, and LTO, mass feeding, non-government organization services, and legal services.
MSU-IIT NMPC Tubod LDN , Maranding and Bacolod LDN branches have actively participated the benevolent activity by providing free haircut to on-goers. It’s a collaborative effort from both key staffs of the coop’s head office and branches in the Lanao del Norte region to pull through with such an activity. The venue was held at Mindanao Civic Center Sports Complex and the servicing started at around 8:30 in the morning. Three barbers strove their time and talent to groom anyone interested to spare their time. Alongside MSU-IIT NMPC who have offered free haircut service, Maranding Women’s Investors Cooperative (MWIC) also joined the event by contemplating the people with free massage and manicure/pedicure services. In addition, the coop was able to satisfy more than 70 people with its free haircut.
MSU-IIT NMPC’s active participation in the last People’s Day was recognized by the provincial government as one of the service providers of the event. This continuing relationship between the coop and the provincial and local government will soon be realized in the next anniversary commemoration of Lanao del Norte province.
