Take a Look Back at MSU-IIT NMPC in its Active Participation in the Recent Brigada Eskwela 2014

It’s school time again! While the kids are very busy prepping things up for their first day in school, the coop had been very busy in the preceding weeks helping schools in making sure their facilities are ready for the big day. Corollary to this, MSU-IIT NMPC staffs from among the 25 branches shared their time and energy to make this annual school maintenance week worthwhile for all those who participated the deed. As Brigada Eskwela brings together schools around the nation, their school officials, the parents, the students and private institutions in a collective effort to clean and repair schools in time for the enrollment and opening of classes last June 2, the coop was among such entities that have been very vibrant to offer its resources to the annual school activity.

And while the theme of the Department of Education emphasizes more cooperation among people and organizations to increase manpower to achieve the desires of the brigade, we have been very active to provide such with the presence of our staffs for several days in the selected schools. As Education Secretary Br. Amin A. Luistro FSC stressed, “Getting our schools ready for the start of classes in June requires a lot of manpower. Every Filipino can contribute in helping create clean and resilient learning environments for our learners.”

The Brigada Eskwela was a success. All branches saw the effort they did for the schools. It was also a success for the part of MSU-IIT NMPC in the sense that we were also able to reach plenty of people during the event. This event literally serves as a time and place for the staffs to promote the coop to people and institutions. Among the things that are recurrent to all branches is that we always made it sure that nobody will leave the school without a set of coop promotional brochures in their hands. Literally, the coop will always consider this event to be an advantageous opportunity in spreading cooperativism. In the first place Brigada Eskwela is all about the acts of “cooperation”, “synergy” and “coordination” and there’s no reason for the coop to be an alien to these things.

Moreover, as the kids are now on their way to class the coop has already left its marks.
